Cell Extraction Buffer

Cell Extraction Buffer is a ready-to-use lysis buffer for use in ELISA and western blotting applications for total protein extraction from mammalian cells. The buffer uses detergent-based lysis, eliminating the need for mechanical cell disruption, providing a milder and easier alternative when isolating proteins from cell cultures. The formulation helps retain the protein structure and function needed for enzyme assays or immunoassays.

Buffer formulation: 10 mM Tris, pH 7.4, 100 mM NaCl, 1 mM EDTA, 1 mM EGTA, 1 mM NaF, 20 mM Na₄P₂O_7, 2 mM Na₃VO₄, 1% Triton X-100, 10% glycerol, 0.1% SDS, 0.5% deoxycholate

This cell extraction buffer does not contain protease inhibitors and should be supplemented with 1 mM PMSF and protease inhibitor cocktail just prior to use.
