The Molecular Probes™ Human Neural Stem Cell Immunocytochemistry Kit enables convenient image-based analysis of four common markers of human neural stem cells (NSCs): nestin, PAX6, SOX1, and SOX2. This complete immunocytochemistry (ICC) kit includes an optimized set of primary and secondary antibodies, a nuclear DNA stain, and all of the buffers necessary to complete the staining protocol.

Easily scalable to any culture plate, dish, or slide format, the Human Neural Stem Cell Immunocytochemistry Kit comes with reagents sufficient to run 20 samples using a 50 μL staining volume.

Confirm Expression of NSC Markers
The antibodies included in the kit have been carefully selected for high performance in ICC analysis of NSCs. These antibodies are well suited for the characterization of NSCs generated using Gibco™ PSC Neural Induction Medium.

    The Human Neural Stem Cell Immunocytochemistry Kit provides the NucBlue Fixed Cell Stain. If I don't have the correct filter set for this stain, can I use another nucleic acid stain?

    If you use Alexa Fluor 488/Alexa Fluor 555 dye-conjugated secondary antibodies and you have a Cy5/Alexa Fluor 647 filter set, you may use a far-red nucleic acid stain, such as NucRed Dead 647 ReadyProbes Reagent (Cat. No. R37113) or SYTOX Deep Red Nucleic Acid Stain (Cat. No. S11380). Do not use these far-red nucleic acid stains if using an Alexa Fluor 594 dye-conjugated secondary antibody as there is too much spectral overlap of Alexa Fluor 594 into the Cy5/Alexa Fluor 647 range.

    We do not recommend using the Human Neural Stem Cell Immunocytochemistry Kit for flow cytometry analysis. The kit and protocol were specifically developed for imaging analysis (microscopy/high-content screening (HCS)).
