ZNF136 belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. It contains 14 C2H2-type zinc fingers and 1 KRAB domain. ZNF136 may be involved in transcriptional regulation as a weak repressor when alone, or a potent one when fused with a heterologous protein containing a KRAB B-domain.
