Mouse anti Guinea Pig T Lymphocytes antibody, clone CT5 recognizes a cell surface antigen present on the surface of all guinea pig T lymphocytes. Reactivity is also seen with some myeloid cells, and with the L2C guinea pig B cell leukaemia.
T Lymphocytes are a subtype of white blood cell that is central to cell-mediated immunity. T Lymphocytes mature in the thymus from thymocytes. The majority of human T cells rearrange their alpha and beta chains on the cell receptor and are termed alpha beta T cells (alpha/beta T cells) and are part of the adaptive immune system.
