SUZ12 Antibody (PA5-72232) in IHC
Immunohistochemical analysis of Suz12 in paraffin-embedded mouse spleen tissue. Samples were fixed with formaldehyde and blocked with 3% BSA for 0.5 hour at room temperature. Antigen retrieval was performed by heat mediation with a citrate buffer (pH6). Samples were then incubated with Suz12 polyclonal antibody (Product # PA5-72232) using a dilution of 1:25 for 1 hours at 37°C. An undiluted biotinylated goat polyvalent antibody was used as the secondary antibody.

Target Information
SUZ12 (polycomb protein SUZ12) is a zinc finger gene and has been identified at the breakpoints of a recurrent chromosomal translocation reported in endometrial stromal sarcoma. Recombination of these breakpoints results in the fusion of this gene and JAZF1. SUZ12 is also a component of the PRC2/EED-EZH2 complex which methylates Lys-9 (H3K9me) and Lys-27 (H3K27me) of histone H3 leading to transcriptional repression of the affected target gene. The protein encoded by this gene contains a zinc finger domain in the C terminus of the coding region.
