PA1-26584 detects MCM6 from human samples. PA1-26584 is expected to cross react with mouse and rat (both 97% conserved) due to sequence homology.
PA1-26584 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures.
The PA1-26584 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to a portion of human Minichromosome Maintenance Deficient 6 encoded by exon 17.
MCM6 may be involved in the control of a single round of DNA replication during S phase. It binds to chromatin during G1 and detaches from it during S phase as if it licenses the chromatin to replicate.
