Western blot analysis of TFIII using whole cell lysate (100µg) from HEK293 cells treated with GTF2I/TFII-I siRNA (+) or untreated (-). Samples were probed with a TFIII polyclonal antibody (Product # PA1-24707) at a dilution of 0.2µg/ml. Detection was performed using chemiluminescence.

The PA1-24707 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to a portion of human general transcription factor II-I encoded within exons 27 and 28 (LocusLink ID 2969).
Target Information
This gene encodes a multifunctional phosphoprotein with roles in transcription and signal transduction. It is deleted in Williams-Beuren syndrome, a multisystem developmental disorder caused by the deletion of contiguous genes at chromosome 7q11. 23. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 7, 13 and 21.
