ANKRD39, or Ankyrin Repeat Domain 39, is part of the ankyrin repeat domain (ANKRD) protein family. Ankyrin repeat domains are known for mediating protein-protein interactions and are involved in various cellular processes, including regulation of cell cycle, transcription, and signal transduction. The specific function of ANKRD39 is not yet fully elucidated, but its family members are typically regulators of other proteins' activity and stability. ANKRD proteins can bind to diverse sets of targets, contributing to their role in various physiological and pathological contexts.
