Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (29%), Rat (29%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-65027. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have a wide variety of functions, most of which encompass some form of transcriptional activation or repression. The majority of zinc-finger proteins contain a Kruppel-type DNA binding domain and a KRAB domain, which is thought to interact with KAP1, thereby recruiting histone modifying proteins. ZNF232, also known as Zinc finger and SCAN domain-containing protein 11, is a 417 amino acid protein belonging to the Kruppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family. Localized to the nucleus, ZNF232 contains one SCAN box domain and five C2H2-type zinc fingers. Due to the presence of these domains, ZNF232 may be involved in transcriptional regulation. Ubiquitously expressed, ZNF232 is present at high levels in testis, liver and ovary. ZNF232 exists as two isoforms produced by alternative splicing.
