Highest antigen sequence indentity to the following orthologs: Mouse (80%), Rat (80%).
This recombinant protein control fragment may be used for blocking experiments with the corresponding antibody, PA5-59217. In IHC/ICC and WB experiments, we recommend a 100x molar excess of the protein fragment control based on the concentration and the molecular weight. Pre-incubate the antibody-protein control fragment mixture for 30 min at room temperature.
POC1 proteins contain an N-terminal WD40 domain and a C-terminal coiled coil domain and are part of centrosomes. They play an important role in basal body and cilia formation. This gene encodes one of the two POC1 proteins found in humans. Mutations in this gene result in short stature, onychodysplasia, facial dysmorphism, and hypotrichosis (SOFT) syndrome.
