ZNF554, or Zinc Finger Protein 554, is a member of the Kruppel-associated box domain-zinc finger proteins (KRAB-ZNF) subfamily, residing on chromosome 19p13. This region is characterized by a concentration of heterochromatin proteins, which indicates tightly regulated gene expression.
